Cleanse your Body of the Toxic and Harmful Effects of Drugs and Pollutants

 

Why detox?
Do we really need it?
And isn't this just another scam to get us to part with our money?

A book could be written on this subject but here's the short version: we are surrounded by toxic chemicals inside and outside of our homes all the time, and thousands of new chemicals are being introduced into our environment every week without proper testing.

Inside the home, we have toxic paints and building materials, toxic cleaning agents in the kitchen & bathroom, contaminants in our drinking water like chlorine and fluoride, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, hormones, and antibiotics in our food.

Speaking of food, our processed fast-food/tv-dinner diet is loaded with artificial chemicals which our body cannot easily process and must treat as more of a poison than food.

Outside we have various noxious gases from cars, trucks, ships, and trains in the form of air pollution, not to mention the pollution created due to burning of coal and other fossil fuels to generate electricity.

Then we have the agricultural run offs, industrial waste run offs (paper pulp alone contains between 250-300 chemicals), the hundreds of chemicals in medical and illicit drugs that have been flushed down the toilet by people or hospitals or have passed through our bodies, and the hundreds of chemicals that we deliberately put on our bodies in the form of toiletries.

All these chemical pollutants that we introduce into the environment will eventually come back to us in one way or another, and the result is not going to be pretty. So what happens when these chemicals do enter our bodies?

When these poisonous chemicals enter our bodies, they must pass through the body's chemical processing plant, the Liver. The liver when faced with something that it does recognize as food or usable mineral or vitamin, will then isolate that chemical from the blood and stuff it in liver fat to neutralize it and protect the rest of the body from it and then later on attempt to dispose of it. Faced with so many different toxins, the liver will soon become over burdened and will have to utilized body's fat cells to store these chemicals and hence we get fatter and fatter. Once you have addressed the mental/emotional aspect of obesity, it is then time to address these chemicals in the body by doing a cleanse.

There are many different types of cleanses on the market such as herbal cleanses for various organs, colon cleanses, juice fasting, and water fasting. Of all these that I have looked at, the one that I recommend the most has stood the test of time and has been done by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world with great results:

 

1. The Purification Rundown

This program was developed by Mr. L.Ron Hubbard to assist people in getting ready to receive mental and spiritual improvement processes. He realized that there were certain people who were not improving or improving very little as a result of these processes and found out that most of them had used various drugs. What was astonishing though was that many of those had not used the drug for many years some times even decades. So he discovered that these drug residues can stay in the body, specially in the fatty tissues, for many decades or even until death, and can still affect a person's mental condition or prevent his spiritual improvement.

He then set out to create a program that would rid the body of these harmful substances. He looked at various programs at the time that included sweat and sauna and after many years of research and collecting data on variations, the Purification Rundown was born.
I have done this program and it was great even though I had only used pot 5 times in college years, so illegal drugs were not a big deal for me, but I felt that the anesthetics that were using during wisdom-teeth-removal operation came out of me and was discharged. The result was a higher level of mental clarity and a "clean" physical feeling at which time one is ready to receive mental and spritual betterment processes.

You will also hear lots of great stories from others who are in the sauna as people are expelling various substances and the way people know what it is, is that they will feel the same symptoms of when they took a particular drug for instance. 2. The Master Cleanse, aka the Lemonad Diet

This diet will cleanse your entire internal organs including the liver, as well as the colon and intestines*.

I recommend that you purchase both the orginal book by Stanley Burroughs and Peter's book called "Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days". My first time I did for 19 days and lost about 15 pounds and felt "cleaner" too.

4. Juice Fasting

Personally I'm not crazy about the whole juicing thing. Every time I juice it seems like I'm throwing away lots of perfectly good fiber, and some of the juice too because the pulp is not totally dry. On the other hand if you strain the juice, then that could prevent you from getting hungry on subsequent days since your digestive system could shut down. I personally have not done the juice fasting thing but I might do it for a couple of days as a prelude to a water fast.

 

3. Water Fasting

There are verious places that do water fasting. Generally a water fast can last from a couple of days to more than 30 days and should be done under the supervision of a Doctor. While on a water fast one should spend most of the time in bed or resting even if detox symptoms appear and disappear and the person is feeling good. While on the Master Clease one is working and functioning as normal, the body needs rest on a water fast. A friend of mine did his water fast at True North Health Retreat and he was impressed with their service. I called the center and talked to one of the doctors and he seemed very knowledgable in the subject.

One of the major benefits of water fasting can be increased hydration of the cellular structures of the body, which will fascilitate the release, transportation, and disposing of toxic wastes from the cells of the body, specially the fat cells where the majority of the toxins are neutralized and stored.
